Mission Location: Tahoka, TX
Description:
CAMA and CAMC deployed on a cell that initiated along a persistent frontal boundary SW of Tahoka, TX. It was declared a target storm as it moved north of Tahoka. The CAM teams did not observe any significant low-level rotation. Some lowering was observed on the southern part of the storm early in our deployment. Thereafter, it produced strong outflow, along which the CAM teams photo-documented a number of gustnadoes. The CAM teams tried to redeploy farther east of Wilson, TX but were unable to stay ahead of the outflow. Operations were terminated early due to minor street flooding created by training convection.
HD video and DSLR imagery were collected by the photogrammetry teams.
